Telehealth Options

In response to the recent concerns surrounding the Coronavirus pandemic, we wanted to provide a platform for our patients to remain connected and motivated to continue with their physical therapy treatment in a safe and comfortable environment.  In light of recent changes made in response to the COVID-19/Coronavirus crisis, Huntley Physical Therapy will now be offering a Telehealth option for their patients, as appropriate.  We will be utilizing a user friendly Telehealth platform. Our Telehealth platform can be accessed on either your phone or from your desktop/laptop computer. You will be able to remotely connect with your physical therapist and participate in a session from home using video/audio technology.  Your therapist can provide you with the appropriate exercise recommendations and guidance as well as provide you with digital handouts and exercise videos to enable you to continue making progress towards your rehab goals.
If you are interested in participating in a Telehealth Physical Therapy visit
please call us at (847)582-0050 to set up your appointment today.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Who is appropriate for Telehealth Physical Therapy services?
  • Patients who are motivated to perform exercises safely at home with guidance and recommendations from their physical therapist
  • Patients that do not require manual/physical assistance from a skilled professional for safety
  • Patients who are actively recovering or recently have recovered from an illness and do not want to put themselves or others at risk by visiting our office
  • Patients who are immuno-compromised or who have immuno-compromised family members whom they want to protect from any contagious illnesses at this time.

How much will a Telehealth session cost me?
  • At this time, telehealth services are covered by both Medicare and also Blue Cross Blue Shield.  Changes are being made daily, so other insurance companies likely will follow suit.  Continuing to provide you care is of utmost importance to us, so we are willing to provide a discount to those patients that do not have insurance coverage for telehealth services at this time.  If you pay out of pocket for a session individually, the cost will be $50 per session.  However, if you purchase a bundle of 3 or more sessions up-front, your cost will go down to $40 per session.

What is included in a Telehealth session:
  • 30 mins of 1-on-1 time with your Physical Therapist.  You will be able to see/hear the therapist and they can see/hear you!  We will have the ability to share our computer screens with you to provide you with exercise videos and personalized instruction on the performance of exercises. While we can’t utilize our manual skills with this platform, we are still able to provide you with a wealth of information and guidance to keep you on track with meeting your rehab goals!

I am not super tech savy!  Will I still be able to participate in this Telehealth session?
  • Absolutely!  The platform we are using is very user friendly and easy to navigate.  Upon scheduling your appointment, you will receive an email invitation with a link to access your Telehealth session. You can access this platform from your desktop, laptop or from your mobile device.  The app can be downloaded for free or you can access the platform on the web.  We will be happy to help you troubleshoot any questions or concerns as well!  Just call us at the clinic!

I don’t have any equipment at home! What should I do?
  • Exercise equipment appropriate for home use, such as resistance bands, stability balls and foam rolls are available for purchase at our clinic and can be incorporated into your Telehealth sessions as needed.
